
Greater than $765,000 price of nonfungible tokens has been stolen as a part of a reported SIM swap assault on the GutterCatGang NFT venture.
The safety breach was highlighted by a number of NFT neighborhood members at round 8 pm UTC on July 7, with GutterCatGang co-founder @GutterMitch tweeting out a warning that: “Our Twitter has been compromised please don’t work together with any hyperlinks.”

Alongside the official GutterCatGang account, co-founder @gutterric was additionally hacked.
The hacker, or hackers used the accounts to share hyperlinks to pretend “restricted version” GutterCatGang NFT sneaker airdrops that primarily drained individuals’s scorching wallets once they clicked on them.
In an effort to make the fictional hyperlinks look extra respectable, the tweets included latest GutterCatGang branding and imagery from the venture’s phygital sneaker drop in partnership with Puma and NBA/Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball.

Responding to Gutter Mitch’s thread, prominent blockchain sleuth ZachXBT asserted that the staff was hacked through a SIM swap attack, as he questioned the staff’s cyber security practices.
