Cryptocurrencies and digital property usually are not banned however a authorized framework must be created to handle them, a Ministry of Justice official has stated.

Cryptos and digital property are outlined and handled in a different way all over the world, and Vietnam has but to have rules to handle them, Cao Dang Dinh, deputy head of the ministry’s division of civil legislation, stated Friday.

The rules have to be created quickly since digital property face “excessive dangers that may be simply taken benefit of,” he added.

The federal government has instructed the State Financial institution of Vietnam to check cryptos and digital property to stop their use in cash laundering.

It has tasked the Ministry of Finance with making a authorized framework for them by Might 2025.

Whereas cryptos usually are not authorized tender in Vietnam, folks commerce them by way of overseas platforms or immediately with one another.
