A person who had as much as £1.2 million value of cryptocurrency in his account linked to a violent theft has been convicted.
John Ross-D’Alfonso, also referred to as John-Ross Rennie, was discovered responsible of getting the digital money in his account after the theft at a home in Lanarkshire late at night time on March 18, 2020. Through the theft a lady was hit with a personalised Toblerone chocolate bar and was badly injured.
D’Alfonso, a supply driver, had been described because the “technical” brains behind the crime, which is believed to be the primary theft in Scotland involving stolen cryptocurrency. Because of the fluctuating charges of cryptocurrency, the Bitcoin in 2020 had an estimated worth of between £100,000 and £1.2 million.
